There is no doubt in our minds, angels do attend us, every day and at every step! We walked beside her bed, and as they wheeled her onto the elevator to take her to surgery Brianne looked up and said, “ I feel calm.” As I kissed her good-bye and took the last photo of her, she kept thanking the staff who were wheeling her to surgery, I looked around ...

...I felt it and knew it, angels were surrounding her that day!

“Many unseen forces are interested in you, love you, and work to influence matters for your profound benefit.”
(In this painting, angels gather to assist, bless and guide a woman in need)
We were told if all went well we should expect a 3 hour surgery. If they ran into any difficulties it could be as long as 4 hours. We thought that seemed like such a long time. It certainly was not, so much longer!
The hours kept slowly passing by. Finally, the 4-hour mark passed and still no word. We played games, visited with friends who came to keep us company. We tried to focus on all these distractions but it was hard because our minds were truly wondering how things were going. Miracle moment... Believe it or not, we ended up in the same waiting room as our long time friends of 25 years.

When we were first starting our families, the Blaser's lived across the walkway in our little townhouse community in Murray, Utah. Our oldest children, Brianne (2) and their son Daniel (3) were the best of friends. They did everything together, including outdoor playdates and picnics. Our two families also did many activities together. One day, Brianne and Daniel decided to take vaseline and coat their hair… I can’t remember why, but I am sure it was an amazing plan! Melanie, Daniel’s mother, and I kept calling each other to share what worked or didn’t work in getting the now 'goo' out of our kid’s hair. At one point, Brianne even bribed Daniel to marry her for a piece of gum, now that was thinking!

As we sat in that waiting room together,
we reminisced of old times, laughed, and joked, we felt the peace this miracle brought. For a moment, the thoughts both our loved ones were going through in their challenging surgeries seemed a bit more bearable. Only God can give us the miracle of peace at these moments!!
It wasn't until later that evening that the Dr. told us that he would meet with us out in the waiting room by the Neuro ICU where we had waited all day. He proceeded to tell us that it took over 10 hours because the massive tumor had been intertwined so extensively, it was hard to know what was brain and what was tumor, microscopically going millimeter by millimeter. He said, “I did the best I could and feel like I got everything unless there was a piece hidden under a fold of the brain somewhere. I am thinking that she should start waking up this evening.”
As tears welled up in my eyes, I wrapped my arms around the Dr. and told him how grateful I was for all that he did for our daughter. So much gratitude for him and the angels keeping watch over her!!
“I have spoken here of heavenly help, of angels dispatched to bless us in times of need. But when we speak of those who are instruments in the hand of God, we are reminded that not all angels are from the other side of the veil. Some of them we walk with and talk with—here, now, every day.”
